The first part of June the kids took swimming lessons. This was JT's first year. He can now jump off the diving board and go down the slide and then swim to the side. At the very beginning all he did was sink! But he is not afraid of the water so when I take the kids swimming by myself I still make him wear a life jacket so the lifeguards don't have to jump in a save him every 5 minutes. Luke did really well too. He learned the front crawl and can now use his arms really well. He still prefers to swim underwater though. Jenna improved on her stokes as well. She loves the backstroke.
Here are the kids sitting on the side of the pool waiting for swimming lessons to start. Since our town is so small there was only 4 people in Luke and JT's class (this class was beginning and 2nd level) and 2 in Jenna's. There were only 2 other families in swimming lessons. Sometimes families wouldn't come and my kids would get private lessons. It was great!
