Well it froze Monday night and most of our beautiful garden is gone (we covered the tomatoes plants-thank goodness.) Some of me is sad to see it go and some of me is so glad. I am so tired of cucumbers and zuchinni! We have 50 quarts of corn in our freezer and about 50 canned quarts of pickels! Now just for the tomatoes! We are going to be eating good this winter! Here we are with all of the ears of corn.

This is only half of it. We did about this much the week before. In the next few pictures the kids tried to get as many ears into the house as possible. They kept dropping it and would bend down to pick it up and more would fall out. It was fun watching them and they had fun seeing who could get the most into the house.

JT with his load

Luke stuffing them into his pockets

Jenna tring to put them in her pockets but her pockets were too small.

Here is the table full of corn!

It took the kids about and hour and half to husk all of the corn. They were really good sports and a big help, but I don't think that they want to do that many ears for a long time..... at least until next year!

Wow! You guys did a good job, with everything--growing, hauling, husking, canning, and now you will get to eat all those good things you have grown for the rest of the year.
Love, G-ma Susie
